Dr Grace Mary Chirunga has been a General Ophthalmologist for 37 years. She has an MBchB from Makerere University and a Masters of Ophthalmology from the University of Zimbabwe.
Dr Grace Chirunga is currently working as an Ophthalmologist in Private Practice. She has worked in Eye Care Projects with CBM (Christian Blind Mission) at the Benedictine Eye Hospital in Tororo, Uganda and in Sakuva Eye Unit in Mutare, Zimbabwe.
While in the Manicaland Province, a number of Eye Care Programmes were implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Care Zimbabwe, Council for the Blind Zimbabwe, CBM, Standard Chartered Bank Zimbabwe and Sight Savers International.

- Surgical Programmes to prevent blindness from Cataracts and Trachomatous Trichiasis.
- RAAB ( Rapid Assessment of Avoidable Blindness).
Dr Grace Chirunga is very passionate about Community Eye Health.
