Timothy Mudarikwa is a Disability Activist well known for disability development in the country. He has had the opportunity to present papers as a disability specialist at National, Regional and International levels. He is well known for his Leadership role as the co-Founder of the Zimbabwe Association of the Visually Handicapped (ZAVH). He has travelled to Kenya, Tanzania, Tunisia, Zambia, Canada, Spain, Sweden, on various study tours, conferences and seminars in relation to old Age, people with disabilities as well as overseeing elections. He is a philosopher who has contributed to the researches done at the University of Zimbabwe in the Department of African Languages. He also acquired professional experience in education psychology, sociology, teaching, research and analysis of National policies. Timothy has been a member of National and Regional boards which include Zimbabwe National League of the Blind (ZNLB), Zimbabwe Association of the Visually Handicapped (ZAVH),
Societies for the Care of the Handicapped (NASCOH),
Provincial Aids Action Committee (PAAC),
Zimbabwe Aids Network (ZAN), National Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (NANGO) AND Constitution Committee of Zimbabwe (COPAC).
Timothy is currently the Executive Director of Zimbabwe Association of the Visually Handicapped (ZAVH) and a member of the Private and Voluntary Organisations (PVO) Board.
In this capacity he has successfully implemented several humanitarian and development programs in partnership with many international Development Organisations, which programs have benefited persons with disabilities in particular and society in general.
